Introduction

This document contains the high-level release notes for ServiceMobility 3.42.0.

The release notes are grouped by the major ServiceMobility components: Mobile Application, ESB Integration, and Web Management Console. Please refer to the specific product documentation for complete details, examples, use cases and configuration information. 

This release primarily focused on adding new functionality and bug fixes to the ServiceMobility mobile application.

About this Release

This release represents a major improvement to the ESB and major and mostly minor improvements to the mobile application.

NEW  Media

The large form factor version of ServiceMobility now provides the ability add media files to the work order.  The user may add the following media types: .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .avi, .mov, .mp4, .3gp, .wmv.  These media file types may be added  to the work order via the Work Order Photos API and the Work Order Videos API.  Upon being added to the work order, all photos (file names) associated with the work order will be saved to the Photos collection, and all videos (file names) will be associated with the Videos collection.  These may then retrieved via the same APIs (Work Order Photos API and Work Order Videos API).

NEW  In Jeopardy Warning

The large form factor version of ServiceMobility provides the technician to see when a work order is in a jeopardy state within ServiceScheduling.  This may be manually modified by setting the InJeopardy property in the work order JSON to true.

NEW  FlexViews within Stock Level Recommendations Process

ServiceMobility now provides the ability to display FlexViews inside each part record within the Stock Level Recommendation process.

Application Changes

CHANGED  Asset Install Date and Last Service Date now date time picker controls

When editing an asset, ServiceMobility now provide date time picker controls for the install date and the last serviced date.

FIXED  Concession Lookup 

Fixed an issue where the concession lookup was previously utilizing a wildcard search rather than an exact lookup.

ESB Release Notes


CHANGED Added Videos collection to Work Order REST API.  This stores the file names for all video media files associated with the work order.

CHANGED Modified Payments object within the Work Order REST API to support the Elavon payment collection and processing of checks and credit cards.

CHANGED Modified Work Order REST API to add a collection of UnableToCollect Objects.  This allows a user to complete service without collecting payment for the full balance.

CHANGED Modified Work Order REST API to add the InJeopardy property.
