Mobile Application Release Notes

Mobile Application Changes

CHANGED ServiceMobility now provides the capability to limit the GPS heartbeat to only when a work order is in an en route, travel complete, or onsite status.  This is configured by setting the following parameter within the Mobile Configuration API:

{
...
"gpsPingPrivacyEnabled": true,
...
}

NEW When utilizing ServiceMobility on multiple devices, a pop-up message will be displayed to indicate when a change came in from another device.

NEW The small form factor version of ServiceMobility now provides the capability to display any work order tab (via configuration) in preview mode (prior to changing the work order status to onsite).

NEW ServiceMobility now provides a configuration to differentiate whether a customer will utilize the insurance UI or standard UI.  This is controlled by the defaultUITemplateType in the Mobile Config API.  The following are valid inputs:

"defaultUITemplateType": "SERVICEPOWER_FIELDSERVICE" for the repair specific UI and  "defaultUITemplateType": "SERVICEPOWER_INSURANCE" for the insurance specific UI.

CHANGED  ServiceMobility now provides the user with the ability to display the work order preview.  This is accessible from the options menu when the Mobile Configuration WorkOrder.invoicePreviewEnabled = true. The information displayed within the invoice preview is configurable via the following UI Templates:

  • LFF - Tablet.WorkOrder.InvoicePreview
  • SFF - Phone.WorkOrder.InvoicePreview

NEW The small form factor version of ServiceMobility now provides the capability to configure the order of the work order tabs. Like the large form factor version, this is now driven by the WorkOrder.menuTabs within the Mobile Configuration.

NEW  ServiceMobility now provides the capability to capture (and display) work order sub-statuses. This feature is active when work order sub-statuses are setup within the system categories (SysCatID = 12).

Issues Resolved

FIXED Resolved an issue on rounding on line item price when the line item price has a precision of 3 decimal places.

FIXED The SFF version of ServiceMobility now only displays the follow-up call functionality when the work order status is closed-incomplete. Previously, it was also being displayed when the work order status wasn't selected and closed-complete.

FIXED Resolved an issue where work order alerts created for a specific service team were being sent to all users.

FIXED Resolved a UI issue where the error message for canceling a follow-up call was being displayed twice within the pop-up box.

FIXED Resolved an issue where alert templates were not being sent down to ServiceMobility in real-time.

FIXED Resolved an issue where the work order summary header was still displaying an onsite status when the user paused the work order.
