Introduction

This document contains the high-level release notes for ServiceMobility 3.43.0.

The release notes are grouped by the major ServiceMobility components: Mobile Application, ESB Integration, and Web Management Console. Please refer to the specific product documentation for complete details, examples, use cases and configuration information. 

This release primarily focused on adding new functionality and bug fixes to the ServiceMobility mobile application.

About this Release

This release represents a major improvement to the ESB and major and mostly minor improvements to the mobile application.

New Features

 NEW Asset Verification - Scan Appliance QR Code

ServiceMobility now provides the ability to verify an asset by scanning the asset's QR code.  Upon scanning, the asset's model number and serial number will automatically be updated within the asset. The asset will also contain a verification JSON block indicating that a QR code has been scanned.

NEW  Barcode Scanning

The large form factor of the application now provides the ability to scan product barcodes.  This functionality is available in the work order line items and inventory screens.  The barcode symbology used by the  client is fully configurable.

NEW  Multi-Device Support

ServiceMobility now supports the ability for a single user to simultaneously use more than one device at the same time. 

NEW  Collect Previous Balance

The large form factor of ServiceMobility now allows a previous balance to be collected in addition to any amount owed for the current service event.

NEW  Warranty Constraints

The large form factor version of ServiceMobility now provides the ability to restrict toggling the work order to in warranty unless the asset is in the proper age range for the particular asset to be under warranty.  This functionality is controlled via configuration.

ESB Release Notes


CHANGED ServiceMobility now supports optionally creating FlexViews from ServiceScheduling's more notes field.  This is controlled via configuration.

CHANGED ServiceMobility provides the WarrantyConstraints REST API.  This allows clients to setup the warranty constraint conditions.

CHANGED ServiceMobility now optionally allows a client to choose to map ServiceScheduling's arrival time or start travel time to the planned start time of a  work order.  This is controlled via configuration.
