Introduction

This document contains the high-level release notes for ServiceMobility 3.38.0.

The release notes are grouped by the major ServiceMobility components: Mobile Application, ESB Integration, and Web Management Console. Please refer to the specific product documentation for complete details, examples, use cases and configuration information. 

This release primarily focused on adding new functionality and bug fixes to the ServiceMobility mobile application.

About this Release

This release represents a major improvement to the ESB and major and mostly minor improvements to the mobile application. 

Minimum System Requirements

Mobile Application

  • iPhone running iOS 13+
  • iPad running iOS 13+
  • Android phones and tablets running Android 9.0+ 
  • Devices (including laptops, desktops, tablets, etc. ) running the latest versions of Chrome or Edge

Mobile Application Release Notes

NEW  Work Order Alerts are now supported within the large form factor version of ServiceMobility.  Additionally, the work order alerts will display any changes that will be made to the work order as a result of accepting the alert.

NEW  ServiceMobility now supports the ability to validate the asset model number against a regular expression.  This is optionally enforced  modifying asset details or closing out the work order when the work order rule IsAssetModelNumReq = true and ModelNumPattern contains a valid regular expression.

NEW  ServiceMobility now displays helper technicians when they are provided in the work order payload.

NEW  The large form factor version of ServiceMobility now supports closing out a work order.

CHANGED The Parts Ordering API has now modified the element name from ETA to EstimatedDelivery.

CHANGED The Parts Ordering API will now make a single API call with all of the line items rather than one API call per line item on the work order.

NEW A warranty indicator is now displayed on line items which are under warranty within the line items screen.

FIXED Fixed an issue where a Work Order PATCH operation was failing due when a concession was added/modified.

CHANGED URLs within FlexViews will now open up with the device's default web browser when using the wrapped application for Windows.

CHANGED When adding a line item to the work order within the large form factor version, AllowConcessions and AllowDiscounts will automatically be set to true by default.

FIXED Fixed an issue where the work order was failing to update within the back office when an alert has a single tiered service code. 


ESB Release Notes

CHANGED The rule IsAssetModelNumReq was added to the WorkOrder REST API to support the asset number validation process.

CHANGED The rule ModelNumPattern was added to the WorkOrder REST API to support the asset number validation process.  This field will supports a regular expression which will supports the asset number validation process.

CHANGED Modified the Work Order Items payload from DiscountsApplied to AllowDiscounts and from ConcessionsApplied to AllowConcessions.

CHANGED If AllowDiscounts and AllowConcessions are missing from the Work Order Items payload, the ESB will now populate them by default to true.
