Release Notes 3.14.0

Introduction

This document contains the high-level release notes for ServiceMobility 3.14.0.

The release notes are grouped by the major ServiceMobility components: Mobile Application, ESB Integration, and Web Management Console. Please refer to the specific product documentation for complete details, examples, use cases and configuration information. 

ServicePower is excited to release version 3.14.0 less than one month after releasing version 3.13.0. While this release focused on fixing many small issues and adding some minor enhancements  and it also includes a new Roles Management module for the web based console.

Mobile Application Release Notes

Application Changes

UPDATE An Administrator User Must be a Mobile Users to Logon to the Mobile Application. 

Even if a user is an administrator of the management console, they still must be enabled as a mobile user in order to logon to the mobile application. 

Resolved Issues

FIXED Photo Capture stopped working in iOS 9

iOS 9 Had a breaking change where the mobile user was not able to capture photos. This has been fixed with this release. 


 

ESB Release Notes

New Features

NEW A new Mobile Settings REST API is Available. 

The new Mobile Settings REST API is used to manage the mobile settings for each deployment groups allowing different configurations of the mobile application to be available to different groups of users. When the mobile setting is changed, the mobile application will automatically apply the change the next time the applications is loaded or when the user logs on (assuming there is network connectivity and the user is not working offline).

NEW A new Mobile Diagnostic Script REST API is Available. 

The new Mobile Diagnostic Script REST API is used to mange custom diagnostic scripts that get run when the mobile users click on the Support Link from the logon page. In addition to the default global diagnostic script, custom scripts can be created for individual mobile users. 


 

Web Management Console Release Notes

New Features

NEW A Roles Magement Module has been Added.

The new Roles Management module allows you to create/edit/delete roles, assign custom permissions to roles, and associate users to roles. Note: The admin role is reserved and can not be edited or deleted.

NEW Technician Notes are now Visible on Work Order On Site Summary Page.

Application Changes

UPDATE Enhanced Support for International Addresses.

UPDATE Changed a non-descriptive message that was displayed when assigning a user to an already assigned storage location.

Resolved Issues

FIXED Several screens were not displaying date strings in their correct locale format.

FIXED Work Orders that were duplicated on the mobile device were not showing up in gantt.

FIXED When creating a new form from the New Work Order screen it was not returning back to the Add Work Order screen after saving or canceling.
