Time Entry Business Process Overview
Overview
The Time Entry BPM enables users to report time for payroll.
Time Entry does not require customer back office integration.

Time Entry List
View Time Entry Records by Day
View Time Entry Records for a Different Date
Option 1 - Forward/Backward Arrow Buttons
If the user would like to choose a date in the future, the following steps must be taken:
- Tap the Forward Arrow Button on the List Header once per day that user would like to move forward in the calendar year. After each time the user taps the Forward Arrow Button, the Selected Date in the List Header should reflect the newly selected date and the Time Entry List should refresh showing the Time Entry records associated with the newly selected date in chronological order with the most recent being at the bottom of the list.
If the user would like to choose a date in the past, the following steps must be taken:
- Tap the Backward Arrow Button on the List Header once for every day that user would like to move backward in the calendar year. After each time the user taps the Backward Arrow Button, the Selected Date in the List Header should reflect the newly selected date and the Time Entry List should refresh showing the Time Entry records associated with the newly selected date in chronological order with the most recent being at the bottom of the list.
Option 2 - Pop-Up Calendar
- Tap on the Calendar Icon Button.
- Choose a date from the Pop-Up Calendar or tap on the Today Button.
Delete a User-Created Time Entry Record
- Tap the Action Button and select the "Edit" option from the selection menu. This puts the form into "Edit Mode."
- Delete a manually created Time Entry Record from the list by tapping on the Delete Button from within the chosen record. This will permanently delete the record and remove it from the list.
- Tap on the Done Button on the Title Bar to restore the form to "Standard Mode" from its current state of "Edit Mode."
If you are in "Edit Mode" and the record does not contain a Delete Button, the record was a system-created record and it may not be deleted.
Add a New Time Entry Record
- Verify that the form is in the "Standard Mode." This may be done by looking at the Title Bar and List Records. If the Title Bar is displaying the Done Button in the right-most position and List Records contain a Delete Button, then the form is in "Edit Mode" and the user must first simply tap the Done Button to put the form back into "Standard Mode."
- Tap on the Action Button in the right-most position of the Title Bar and choose Add from the selection menu. This will navigate to the Add Time screen where no fields have been populated.
- Enter all required fields and tap the Done Button. This will navigate back to the Time Entry - Daily screen displaying the Selected Datefor the newly added record.
- The newly created record will be visible.
Calendar
Changing the date (day) in calendar
Option 1 - Calendar Forward/Backward Arrow Buttons

Option 3 - Today button
- Tap the Date located on the calendar once for every day that user would like to move in the calendar year. (future or past
- Tap the Today button, located at the bottom of the form.
- The Selected Date on the calendar should reflect the device date (Today).
- Subsequently, when the user returns to  the Time Entry List screen the list  should show the Time Entry records associated with the newly selected date.
Add Time

Activity
Choosing an Activity to Associated with a Time Entry Record
- On the Time Entry - Daily form, verify that the form is in the "Standard Mode." This may be done by looking at the Title Bar and List Records. If the Title Bar is displaying the Done Button in the right-most position and List Records contain a Delete Button, then the form is in "Edit Mode" and the user must first simply tap the Done Button to put the form back into "Standard Mode."

- Tap the Activity field in the Time Entry - Add Time screen to navigate to the Add Time - Activity List screen.
- Select an activity record from the list and tap the Done Button.
Starts and Ends

1.    Edit an existing Time Entry Record by tapping on a record in the Time Entry - Daily screen. This will navigate to the Time Entry - Details screen.
2.    Tap on the StartsEnds field to navigate to the Edit Time - Start and End screen.
3.    Tap on the Start field.
4.    Modify the Start field by changing the value in the Calendar DateTime Picker Control.
5.    Tap the Done Button in the Edit Time - Start and End screen.
6.    Tap on the Done Button in the Time Entry - Edit Time screen.
7.    Select an activity record from the list and tap the Done Button.

Modifying End Date and Time Associated with a Time Entry Record
1.    Edit an existing Time Entry Record by tapping on a record in the Time Entry - Daily screen. This will navigate to the Time Entry - Details screen.

Reference
Modifying the Reference Associated with a Time Entry Record
- Edit an existing Time Entry Record by tapping on a record in the Time Entry - Daily screen. This will navigate to the Time Entry - Details screen.
- Tap on the Reference field to navigate to the Edit Time - Reference screen.
- Modify the Reference field by changing the value via the SIP.
- Tap the Done Button in the Edit Time - Reference screen.
- Tap on the Done Button in the Time Entry - Edit Time screen.
Notes
Modifying the Note Associated with a Time Entry Record
- Edit an existing Time Entry Record by tapping on a record in the Time Entry - Daily screen. This will navigate to the Time Entry - Details screen.
- Tap on the Note field to navigate to the Edit Time - Reference screen.
- Modify the Note field by changing the value via the SIP.
- Tap the Done Button in the Edit Time - Notes screen.
- Tap on the Done Button in the Time Entry - Edit Time screen.
Odometer
Creating
Modifying the Odometer Associated with a Time Entry Record
- Edit an existing Time Entry Record by tapping on a record in the Time Entry - Daily screen. This will navigate to the Time Entry - Details screen.  Â
- Tap on the Start  End field to navigate to the Edit Time - Starts&Ends screen.
- To modify the odometer tap the Start and/or End record. Record will be highlighted in blue and SIP panel will be displayed with numeric characters.
Tap the Done Button in the Edit Time - Odometer screen.
Tap on the Done Button in the Time Entry - Edit Time screen.
