Install ServiceOptimizer Installing a Distributed ServiceOptimizer Instance

The ServiceOptimizer instance can be run in a distributed mode across more than one host computer – see the ServiceOptimizer Admin  for more details about this mode of operation.

The simplest configuration for a distributed ServiceOptimizer instance requires the ServiceOptimizer software to be installed on every computer that is to be included in the distributed system.  Follow the instructions in Installing a Server for each host computer in turn.

Alternative configurations are possible in which a single ServiceOptimizer installation is shared on the network and accessed by some or all of the host computers.  ServiceOptimizer Admin Guide  has a discussion about the pros and cons of this approach.  Please discuss this with your ServicePower consultant.
