ADVISORY NOTICE
SOAP Interface Update
ServiceScheduling 9.4.0.0 has made non-backwards compatible changes to the SOAP API interfaces. Users upgrading from a version prior to this release are required to consume the new WSDL and re-compile (if required) for their integration.
It is highly recommended that all integrations with the SOAP API interfaces are then re-tested. Details of changes to the SOAP API interfaces can be found in the ServiceOptimizer Integration Guide.
ADVISORY NOTICE
This upgrade involves changing the way overridden breaks are stored within the database
The way break overrides are stored at v9.4 is different to previous versions. During the v9.4 upgrade, existing break overrides within the system memory horizon will be converted and stored in the new format.
Any break overrides existing BEFORE the system memory horizon will NOT be converted.
This may impact historical reporting for dates PRIOR to the system memory horizon and also the SERVICEManager Employee Availability pages when looking at availability PRIOR to the system memory horizon. In both cases, any expected break overrides will not be found.
Upgrades from versions between 8.1.x and 9.0.x
If you are upgrading from any version of ServiceScheduling starting with 8.1.0.0 or later, up to the most recent version of 9.0.x then the following points also apply:
ADVISORY NOTICE
Fixed Breaks in the wrong time zone
After upgrading from any version of ServiceScheduling between 8.1.x and 9.0.x inclusive, Fixed Breaks will be in the wrong time zone.
Immediately after upgrading to ServiceScheduling 9.4 or later, in the event that the previous version was any version between 8.1.x and 9.0.x inclusive, any Fixed Breaks will be in the wrong time zone, resulting in them appearing at the wrong time on the Gantt and/or being incorrectly dispatched.
Please speak with ServicePower’s customer care team prior to upgrading, to ensure that an appropriate script can be prepared for your upgrade to correct any Fixed Break time zones.
ADVISORY NOTICE
Breaks TODAY and in the past in the wrong time zone
After upgrading from any version of ServiceScheduling between 8.1.x and 9.0.x inclusive, Breaks existing in the past and potentially TODAY will have the wrong time zone.
Immediately after upgrading to ServiceScheduling 9.4 or later, in the event that the previous version was any version between 8.1.x and 9.0.x inclusive, any Breaks existing in the past and potentially TODAY will be in the wrong time zone, resulting in them appearing at the wrong time on the Gantt and/or being incorrectly dispatched.
Please speak with ServicePower’s customer care team prior to upgrading, to ensure that an appropriate script can be prepared for your upgrade to correct any Break time zones.
