Upgrades from versions earlier than 12.0

If you are upgrading from a version prior to 12.0 then the following points apply:

ADVISORY NOTICE

Updated Java Version Requirement

The versions of Java required to run ServiceScheduling has changed with the release of ServiceScheduling 12.

With the release of ServiceScheduling 12, the versions of Java required to run ServiceScheduling components have been updated.

Please review the 14.1 Build and Test Environments for ServiceScheduling for full details of the environments supported by ServiceScheduling's modules.

ADVISORY NOTICE

Windows 7 SP1 Support Deprecated

With the release of ServiceScheduling 12, running the ServiceScheduling desktop components on Windows 7 SP1 is no longer supported.

Users of ServiceScheduling upgrading to ServiceScheduling 12 from a prior release using Windows SP1 should upgrade their operating system before upgrading ServiceScheduling.

ADVISORY NOTICE

Internet Explorer Support Deprecated

With the release of ServiceScheduling 12, the Internet Explorer web browser is no longer supported.

Users of ServiceScheduling upgrading to ServiceScheduling 12 from a prior release using Internet Explorer should change to one of the supported browsers before upgrading ServiceScheduling.

ADVISORY NOTICE

Prior Release Upgrade Advisory Notices

Appropriate prior release upgrade advisory notices must be reviewed as part of the upgrade to ServiceScheduling 12.0

In the event that one or more major releases are being skipped as part of the upgrade to ServiceScheduling 12.0 - that is, whenever the upgrade is from ServiceScheduling 11.4 or any prior version - then all appropriate upgrade advisory notices for the versions being skipped must be reviewed as part of the upgrade process.
