When installing the ServicePower SWAT application the supplied setup.exe file should be used to install the application and not the .msi file.

The setup.exe file ensures that any prerequisites are installed properly before starting the installation process where as the .msi file does not. Select ‘Next’ to continue the installation or ‘Cancel’ to stop the installation.

 

On the database installation type screen choose the database option that matches the ServiceOptimizer instance ServiceSwat is being run against and click ‘Next’.

 

 

Now select the installation folder to be used for the application. It is recommended that the default location is chosen.

 

 

Confirm that the installation can go ahead. Now select the installation folder to be used for the applications perl installation.

It is recommended that the default location is chosen, however if a different location is chosen than it must be recorded as it is needed in one of the following steps.

Any directory entered must not contain spaces!

 

 

Now confirm that the installation can go ahead.

 

If the User Account Control dialog appears select ‘Yes’ to allow the installer to continue. Now click close to finish the installation.

 

 

The dialog above shows the progress of the installation to the user. Within the ServiceSwat installer is a self extracting zip containing the required perl installation.

The following dialog will appear and the perl installation directory entered previously should now be entered here.

 

Note that if running in Administator mode only this dialog will appear and the default value “C:\strawberry” will have been automatially selected.

Once the extraction is complete close the WinZip dialog and complete the installation process.

 

Click OK and then click close on the previous dialog.
