System Category: 1

The Time Entry system category does not contain any activity codes itself, instead it contains child sub-categories which then contain one or more activity codes.

This allows a simple, one level parent/child hierarchy of different types of activities to be defined for technician time entry.

Sub-Category Codes

Rules

The following sub-category codes are fixed by ServiceMobility - only the descriptions can be customized.

That is:

  • The sub-category codes can not be deleted;
  • New sub-category codes can not be added; and
  • The descriptions of the sub-category codes may be updated, but this will not change the meaning of the sub-category codes - only the text that is presented for those sub-categories.

Sub-Category Activity Codes

Rules

The following activity codes, underneath the sub-category codes, are user configurable.

However, the activity code(s) marked as Reserved can can not be deleted, although their description can be changed.

Otherwise:

  • Activity codes in the defined sub-categories from the defaults shown below (that are not marked as Reserved) can be deleted; and
  • New activity codes can be added to the defined sub-categories.

However, please note that for each sub-category, at least one activity code must be defined.

1001 - Admin: Sub-Category Codes

The admin sub-category contains activities related to administration tasks.
