Upgrade Advisory Notice

Upgrades from versions earlier than 9.2.1

If you are upgrading from a version prior to 9.2.1 then the following points apply:

ADVISORY NOTICE

Oracle Database UTF-8 Requirement

Oracle Database installations now require a UTF-8 schema

The ServicePower database schema must be upgraded to UTF-8 for Oracle database users. The ServiceOptimizer Install Guide gives details of how to upgrade your database, however it should be noted that the upgrade time will be longer than the usual time for dbinstall to run and complete.
