Distributed Deployments

The ServiceOptimizer instance can be run in a distributed mode across more than one host computer – see the ServiceOptimizer Admin for more details about this mode of operation.

The simplest configuration for a distributed ServiceOptimizer instance requires the ServiceOptimizer software to be installed on every computer that is to be included in the distributed system. Follow the instructions in Deploying ServiceOptimizer for each host computer in turn.

Alternative configurations are possible in which a single ServiceOptimizer installation is shared on the network and accessed by some or all of the host computers. The ServiceOptimizer Admin Guide has a discussion about the pros and cons of this approach. Please discuss this with your ServicePower consultant.
