Install ServiceOptimizer Deploying ServiceOptimizer Installing the Travel Matrix

The installation of the Travel Matrix file(s) for your ServiceScheduling system will generally be performed by a ServicePower Consultant.

  1. Obtain the relevant Travel Matrix file(s) for the appropriate country or countries of operation.
  2. Copy the .tm2 file(s) into a directory on the same machine as the ServiceOptimizer instance.
  3. Configure ServiceOptimizer to use the Travel Matrix file(s) – see Admin ServiceOptimizer System Configuration Travel Time Estimates in the ServiceOptimizer Admin Guide.
  4. If there is already an existing Travel Matrix set up and you wish to upgrade to a newer version then follow the Install Instructions supplied with the Travel Matrix file(s).
  5. If a P2P (point-to-point) travel matrix for more accurate travel time is also to be created and used then ask ServicePower Consultants or use the information provided in Admin ServiceOptimizer System Configuration Travel Time Estimates.
  6. If RTT (real-time-traffic) travel data is to be used to accurately update a job's travel time with current traffic delays before travel to the job has started then ask ServicePower Consultants or use the information provided in Admin ServiceOptimizer System Configuration Travel Time Estimates.
Please inform the ServicePower Customer Care Team on installation of a new Travel Matrix. This will assist in keeping our records up to date and will help us to provide an efficient support service.

 

(question) Where can I get a Travel Matrix?

Separate Travel Matrix DVDs for each geography will have been provided, by ServicePower, for each Geography in use.
