Loading Bulk Data

ServiceOptimizer allows you to maintain and update most of the data that is required though the tools or interfaces provided.  However, there may be cases where this cannot be done e.g.:

• no application support for the update
• need to load bulk data, and using the application would be too slow

In these cases it is important that you contact ServicePower support personnel for help. It is possible to load data using SQL scripts but any SQL script must be checked by ServicePower support - the integrity and constraints found within the database are not as strong as those applied by the application and therefore the system may have issues if the data is entered incorrectly.  The system may also find it difficult to report those errors in a meaningful way, as it does not expect to find problems.
