Introduction

This document contains the high-level release notes for ServiceMobility 3.31.0.

The release notes are grouped by the major ServiceMobility components: Mobile Application, ESB Integration, and Web Management Console. Please refer to the specific product documentation for complete details, examples, use cases and configuration information. 

This release primarily focused on adding new functionality and bug fixes to the ServiceMobility mobile application.

About this Release

This release represents a major improvement to the ESB and major and mostly minor improvements to the mobile application. 

Minimum System Requirements

Mobile Application

  • iPhone running iOS 13+
  • iPad running iOS 13+
  • Android phones and tablets running Android 9.0+ 
  • Devices (including laptops, desktops, tablets, etc. ) running the latest versions of Chrome or Edge

Work Order Module

NEW When closing a work order fails due to validation, the technician will now receive a dialogue box that will allow them to navigate to the area of the application that needs attention.  

NEW A new configuration has been introduced where entities utilizing the 3rd party authentication process may allow the mobile user to remain logged into the application through the auto-login process for a configurable amount of time after the JWT has expired.  The mobile application, however, will not communicate to the back office until the user manually logs out and back into the application.

FIXED When pausing one work order and starting another, the value of the on-site timer would incorrectly transfer to the newly started work order.  It will now restart at 0:00 for the newly started work order. 

FIXED Tapping on a FlexView hyperlink not responding to touchscreen within wrapped application.  

FIXED Fixed an issue that would cause the clear entry dialogue box to appear when scrolling a list of FlexForms.

FIXED When leaving a work order (navigating to the Schedule screen) and returning, items that had been manually added to the work order by the technician are missing and must be re-added.

FIXED When leaving a work order (navigating to the Schedule screen) and returning, discounts that had been manually applied to the work order by the technician are no longer applied.


ESB Release Notes

Process Template REST API

NEW Ability to create/edit/delete a work order template.  This lays the groundwork for quick creation of a work order using a pre-defined template.  This will be utilized in the upcoming mobile enhancement for work order creation/part sale process (release date TBD) and enhancement to the create new work order feature on the management portal (release date TBD).

Stock Level Recommendation REST API

NEW This API provides the groundwork for the upcoming mobile feature allowing a mobile user to provide input on back-office generated stock level recommendations (release date TBD).  Also, please note that the export API will be provided in a subsequent release with mobile functionality.

Appointment Search REST API

CHANGE Enhanced the Appointment Search API to optionally include FlexForm as part of the payload.  This will provide customer-defined extensibility to appointment search process.  The FlexForms included in this mobile-based API call will be driven through configuration.  Please note that the accompanying mobile feature will be released in the future (release date TBD).

Book Job REST API

CHANGE Enhanced the Job Booking REST  API to optionally include FlexForm as part of the payload.  This will provide customer-defined extensibility to the job booking process.  The FlexForms included in this mobile-based API call will be driven through configuration.

Mobile Data Extract

FIXED Fixed issue where sales area price list updates weren't automatically getting sent to the mobile device.
